@ Glamazini, Roshini! I thought I recognized that handle! I've been a fan of your site since deciding to wear my natural hair! :) Thank YOU for all the great info I was able to find (cause info was a bit sparse back then!) I'm glad you dig the blog!
Re: the cap, I used those little shower caps but as my hair grew, I needed something with more surface area lol I think I'm gonna find a retro polka dot one that's prettier and have this one in my overnight bag for when I travel, it's certainly special hahah!
The Retro Natural is the first natural hair blog dedicated to styling naturally textured hair in retro styles. This blog was created as a means to establish a virtual playground, if you will, where women with natural or highly textured hair can obtain tips and tricks when attempting to style their hair in styles mainly from the 30s, 40s and 50s. There's also a little about style, food, vintage cars, and beauty tips. Many people know me from my YouTube channel, CurlyChronicles, which was created to show how I care for my natural hair. This is an extension of that :)
I also love the style of clothing worn by those who lived way before my time and enjoy "dressing to the nines" as they say!
These photos do indeed belong to me unless stated otherwise. If you use any photos, link them back to this site or I'll kindly ask you to take them down. Thank you!
